Job Description – Commi III (Pastry)

About the Role

We are looking for a passionate and enthusiastic Commi III – Pastry to join our pastry team. The ideal candidate will assist in the preparation of desserts, cakes, pastries, and baked products while ensuring consistency, quality, and food safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist in the preparation and production of cakes, pastries, cookies, breads, desserts, and other baked goods.
- Follow standard recipes and portion control to maintain consistency and quality.
- Measure, mix, bake, and decorate products under the guidance of senior pastry chefs.
- Prepare ingredients and mise en place for daily production.
- Ensure all products meet the brand's quality and presentation standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the pastry kitchen, equipment, and workstations.
- Properly store ingredients and finished products following FIFO and food safety guidelines.
- Monitor stock levels and inform the senior chef about ingredient requirements.
- Minimise wastage by following proper handling and storage practices.




- Support the team during bulk production and festive or seasonal launches.

Requirements

- 1–2 years of experience in a pastry kitchen, bakery, or similar role.
- Basic knowledge of baking techniques, pastry preparation, and dessert production.
- Familiarity with bakery equipment such as ovens, mixers, and proofers.
- Understanding of food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
- Culinary or Bakery & Confectionery certification is preferred.
