Job Title: Estimation Engineer – LT Switchgear & Electrical Panels

Job Summary:

The Estimation Engineer is responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates and technical proposals for Low Voltage (LT) Switchgear and Electrical Control Panels. The role involves reviewing customer specifications, preparing Bills of Materials (BOM), selecting components, coordinating with suppliers, and supporting the sales team during the tendering process.

Key Responsibilities:

- Review customer enquiries, technical specifications, drawings, and tender documents.
- Prepare techno-commercial quotations for LT Switchboards, PCC, MCC, APFC, PLC, VFD, DB, Synchronizing Panels, and Control Panels.
- Prepare detailed Bill of Materials (BOM) based on customer requirements.
- Select electrical components such as ACB, MCCB, MCB, Busbars, CTs, Relays, Metering Devices, Contactors, VFDs, PLCs, etc.
- Estimate material, fabrication, wiring, assembly, and testing costs.
- Coordinate with OEMs and vendors for pricing and technical clarifications.
- Ensure compliance with IEC, IS, and customer-specific standards.
- Prepare cost sheets, technical deviations, and commercial assumptions.
- Support the sales team during technical discussions and bid submissions.
- Coordinate with the design, procurement, and production teams for project handover.




- Maintain quotation records and update costing databases.
- Identify opportunities for cost optimization without compromising quality.

Required Qualifications:

- Diploma/B.E./B.Tech in Electrical Engineering.
- 2–8 years of experience in LT Switchgear or Electrical Panel Manufacturing.
- Experience in estimation, tendering, or proposal engineering is preferred.

Required Skills:

- Strong knowledge of LT Switchgear and Electrical Panels.
- Understanding of PCC, MCC, APFC, PLC, VFD, Synchronizing, and Control Panels.
- Familiarity with major OEM products (Schneider Electric, Siemens, ABB, Legrand, L&T;, Eaton, etc.).
- Ability to read Single Line Diagrams (SLD), GA Drawings, and Control Schematics.
- Positive knowledge of electrical components and busbar sizing.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, AutoCAD, and ERP systems (SAP/Oracle preferred).
- Strong analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work under tight tender submission deadlines.
