Job Description – Accountant

Position: Accountant
Department: Finance & Accounts
Reporting To: Finance Manager / Accounts Head

Job Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented and responsible Accountant to manage day-to-day accounting operations, maintain accurate financial records, and ensure timely reconciliation of accounts. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of accounting principles, Bank Reconciliation Statements (BRS), statutory compliance, and ERP/accounting software.

Key Responsibilities

- Maintain books of accounts and ensure accurate recording of financial transactions.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly Bank Reconciliation Statements (BRS) and resolve unreconciled entries promptly.
- Record and verify bank receipts, payments, and journal entries.
- Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Prepare invoices, debit notes, credit notes, and payment vouchers.




- Monitor cash flow and bank balances.
- Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Maintain general ledger and subsidiary ledgers.
- Reconcile vendor and customer accounts.
- Prepare MIS reports and financial statements as required by management.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
- Coordinate with auditors during internal and statutory audits.
- Support GST, TDS, and other statutory compliance activities.
- Maintain proper documentation and filing of financial records.
