Business Functional Analyst will work within the client Surveillance team to support the delivery of strategic data governance and onboarding initiatives for surveillance use cases. The role will act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders, surveillance SMEs, and the source technology teams to translate regulatory and business requirements into actionable data requirements, mapping of source feed to client data assets and, ensuring compliance to set data controls and governance requirements. Strong analytical, stakeholder management, SQL, and documentation skills are essential to facilitate successful delivery across multiple workstreams.

Responsibilities

Functional Business Analyst with partial Project Management responsibilities to support the dbTax Global implementation team.

The resource will be responsible for requirements analysis, business change assessment, solution conceptualization, impact and risk evaluation, and stakeholder coordination across the Tax Ops and Tax Tech teams. 2.The role requires strong communication skills, domain and functional expertise, and the ability to translate business requirements into system functionality while supporting delivery throughout the implementation lifecycle. 3.Key Deliverables include Alteryx workflow assessment and future migration CARF reporting & Swaps reporting.





Key Deliverables

Requirements gathering and documentation for surveillance, onboarding, and data governance initiatives.

Business process analysis and gap assessments.

Creation and maintenance of user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional specifications.

Creation of SQL based ETL artifacts to be integrated into data processing pipelines

Documentation supporting audit, compliance, and regulatory reviews.

Traceability of business requirements through implementation and production deployments

Tableau based MI reports for Data Controls

Skills

Must have

8+ years of experience in a Project analyst, Project coordinator, or similar support roles

Strong analytical skills, with the ability to gather, interpret, and present data clearly and accurately.

Solid written and verbal communication skills, with experience producing reports, minutes, and other project documentation.
