Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and monitor chrome, cadmium & anodizing plating lines and associated equipment
- Prepare components for plating (cleaning, rinsing, masking, handling)
- Follow process parameters — current density, voltage, temperature, plating time, solution concentration
- Load/unload components safely from plating fixtures and racks
- Perform fixture maintenance
- Conduct visual inspection and basic dimensional checks of plated parts
- Record process data and maintain production records
- Perform chemical additions as instructed by process engineer/lab
- Maintain 5S at plating area
- Report equipment abnormalities, quality concerns, and safety issues
- Follow work instructions, process specs, and control plans
- Support audits, preventive maintenance, and continuous improvement
Required Skills:
- Diploma or equivalent qualification
- Minimum 3 years' experience in chrome plating operations
- Knowledge of plating process parameters and chemical handling
- Ability to read work instructions and process sheets
- Basic understanding of quality and safety procedures
- Familiarity with measuring instruments preferred
