Job Description – HR Business Partner (HRBP)

Position: HR Business Partner (HRBP)
Experience: Approximately 3 to 6 Years
Location: Kharagpur

Role Summary

The HR Business Partner (HRBP) is responsible for partnering with business leaders to drive people strategies aligned with organizational objectives. The role focuses on talent acquisition, employee engagement, performance management, learning & development, employee relations, HR operations, statutory compliance, and industrial relations to build a high-performing workforce and foster a positive work culture within the manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

Business Partnership

- Partner with plant and functional leadership to understand business priorities and provide strategic HR support.
- Align HR initiatives with business goals to improve organizational effectiveness and productivity.
- Act as a trusted advisor to managers on people-related matters.
- Support organizational change management and workforce planning initiatives.

Talent Acquisition & Onboarding

- Manage end-to-end recruitment for staff and critical positions.
- Coordinate manpower planning with department heads.
- Ensure timely hiring and seamless onboarding of new employees.
- Build and maintain a strong talent pipeline to meet business requirements.

Performance Management

- Drive the Performance Management System (PMS), including goal setting, mid-year reviews, annual appraisals, and performance improvement plans.
- Coach managers on performance discussions and employee development.

Learning & Development





- Identify training needs through competency assessments and business requirements.
- Coordinate technical, behavioural, and leadership development programs.
- Evaluate training effectiveness and monitor employee development plans.

HR Operations

- Manage the complete employee lifecycle, including onboarding, confirmation, transfers, promotions, and separation.
- Ensure accurate HR documentation and employee records in HRIS.
- Coordinate attendance, leave administration, and payroll inputs.

HR Analytics & MIS

- Prepare HR dashboards and MIS reports on recruitment, attrition, absenteeism, manpower, training, and employee engagement.
- Analyze HR metrics and recommend process improvements.

Employee Engagement

- Plan and execute employee engagement initiatives, recognition programs, wellness activities, and cultural events.
- Conduct employee satisfaction surveys and implement improvement action plans.

Educational Qualification

- Full time MBA/PGDM in Human Resources (HR) or Personnel Management from a recognized university or institute is mandatory.
- Graduation in any discipline from a recognized university.
- Additional certifications in Labour Laws, Industrial Relations, HR Analytics, or SAP SuccessFactors will be an added advantage.

Experience





- Approximately 6 years of post-qualification HR experience, preferably in manufacturing, steel, automotive, engineering, or heavy industrial organizations.
- Hands-on experience in HR Business Partnering, Talent Acquisition, Performance Management, Employee Relations, Industrial Relations, HR Operations, and Statutory Compliance.
- Exposure to plant HR operations and labour law compliance is preferred.
