Position Summary

Senior QA/QC qualified with 10+ years of experience in Shipbuilding, Naval Refit, Offshore Rig Repairs, and Heavy Fabrication. Responsible for leading quality assurance and quality control functions across ship repair, dry docking, structural modifications, piping, mechanical, and coating activities in compliance with Classification Society Rules and Naval standards.

· Pressure vessel & heavy fabrication

· Ship construction & dry dock repair activities

Key Responsibilities

1. Quality Planning & Documentation

· Preparation and implementation of Quality Assurance Plans (QAP) and Inspection Test Plans (ITP).

· Review of contract specifications & class requirements.

· Preparation and closure of Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs).

· Maintain material traceability & quality dossiers.

2. Ship Repair & Dry Dock Inspection Control

· Stage-wise inspection from docking to sailing.

· Inspection of structural fabrication, steel renewals, tank repairs, piping fabrication & mechanical outfitting.

· Conduct Hydro test, Air pressure test, Hose test,



dimensional checks and draft marking verification.

3. Welding & NDT Control

· Development & approval of WPS Process, PQR & Welder Qualification.

· Monitoring weld traceability.

· Supervision of NDT activities (RT & PT – ASNT Level II).

· Liaison with third-party inspectors.

4. Class & Client Coordination

· Interaction with Classification Society Surveyors.

· Handling Naval & Offshore client inspections.

· Closing observations & obtaining release notes.

· Participation in ISO 9001 recertification audits.

5. Coating & Surface Inspection

· Inspection as per approved paint schemes.

· Monitoring blasting standards & DFT checks.

· Surface preparation & corrosion control compliance.

6. Team Leadership & Quality Improvement

· Managing multi-discipline QC teams (Structural, Piping, Mechanical, Painting).

· Training Need Identification & Skill Matrix preparation.

· Implementation of corrective & preventive actions.

Educational & Technical Credentials

· Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.

· ISO 9001 Internal Auditor (BVQI Certified).

· Certified Welding Inspector.

· NDT – ASNT Level-II (RT & PT).

· Jotun Paint School Certified.

· SAP, AutoCAD & MS Office knowledge.

Pay: ₹500,000.00 - ₹1,200,000.00 per year
