- Procedure Assistance
- Assist in the preparation of patients for endoscopic procedures.
- Prepare and arrange endoscopy equipment, accessories, and consumables.
- Support physicians and nurses during diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
- Monitor and replenish procedure-related supplies.
- Equipment Handling and Maintenance
- Clean, disinfect, and store endoscopes and accessories according to established protocols.
- Perform routine checks on endoscopy equipment and report malfunctions promptly.
- Assist in maintaining equipment maintenance records.
- Infection Prevention and Control
- Follow infection control and biomedical waste management guidelines.
- Ensure proper high-level disinfection and reprocessing of endoscopes.
- Maintain a clean and safe working workplace in the endoscopy unit.
- Patient Care
- Assist in patient positioning and transportation when required.
- Provide basic support and reassurance to patients before and after procedures.
- Maintain patient privacy, dignity, and confidentiality.
- Documentation and Inventory
- Maintain procedure logs and equipment records.
- Assist in inventory management of endoscopy supplies and accessories.
- Report shortages and coordinate replenishment of stocks.
- Safety and Compliance
- Adhere to hospital policies, quality standards, and safety regulations.
- Participate in departmental training and continuing education programs.
- Assist during emergency situations as directed by the clinical team.
Qualifications
- Diploma/Degree in Endoscopy Technology
- Basic knowledge of endoscopic procedures and infection control practices.
- candidates with upto 2 years of relevant experience may apply.
