We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physician Assistant to support our Consultants and Medical Officers in delivering high-quality patient care. The ideal candidate will assist in patient assessment, clinical documentation, ward rounds, diagnostic coordination, and patient education while ensuring compliance with hospital policies and clinical standards. Physician Assistants work under the supervision of a Consultant or Duty Medical Officer.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist Consultants during OPD consultations, ward rounds, and emergency care.
- Obtain patient history and perform preliminary clinical assessments.
- Record and monitor vital signs and report abnormal findings promptly.
- Assist in diagnostic and therapeutic procedures as directed by the Consultant.
- Coordinate laboratory investigations, imaging,
and specialist referrals.
- Maintain accurate patient records and clinical documentation.
- Prepare admission notes, progress notes, discharge summaries, and case records.
- Educate patients and their families regarding treatment plans, medications, diet, and follow-up care.
- Ensure infection control and patient safety protocols are followed.
- Collaborate with Nursing, Pharmacy, Laboratory, Radiology, and other departments.
- Respond effectively to medical emergencies and assist in resuscitation when required.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to ethical and legal standards.
