Job Description

We are looking for a skilled L1/L2 Data Pipeline Support Engineer with 4 to 6 years of experience in Enterprise Data Engineering and Production Support.

This role is primarily focused on L1 Production Support and Monitoring activities. Candidates must be comfortable working extensively on L1 support, including continuous pipeline monitoring, incident handling, issue triaging,



RCA preparation, batch validations, history load monitoring, and support coordination activities.

Candidates who are interested only in development or L2 activities may not be suitable for this role. While the resource is expected to support L2 activities when required, the major responsibility will remain L1 support operations in a production environment.

The ideal candidate should have robust hands-on experience with Azure Databricks, PySpark, Azure Data Factory (ADF), and Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS) along with expertise in data pipeline monitoring, RCA (Root Cause Analysis), history load processing, ingestion frameworks, curated layer, and mart layer support.

Shift Details

- Must be flexible to work in Rotational Shifts (16/7 Support Model)
- Weekend support required rotational (Saturday & Sunday)
- Shift timings may vary between 5:00 AM to 9:00 PM
- Shift Allowance will be provided

Job Requirement

- Primary responsibility to handle L1 Production Support and Data Pipeline Monitoring
- Monitor enterprise data pipelines across ingestion, curated, and mart layers
- Handle production alerts, batch monitoring, validations, and issue triaging
- Perform RCA (Root Cause Analysis) for pipeline failures and recurring incidents
- Support history load and reprocessing activities
- Support L2 development, enhancement, and defect fixing activities when required
- Monitor Databricks jobs, workflows, and cluster health
- Develop and maintain PySpark notebooks and support code fixes
- Work with Azure Data Factory (ADF) for orchestration and ingestion support
- Support data movement and storage activities in Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS)
- Coordinate with stakeholders and business teams during incident resolution
- Ensure SLA adherence and timely issue resolution
- Maintain operational documentation and support procedures
