PRD Planning Engineer – Mechanical

Job Responsibilities

- Manage end-to-end internal project management of multiple NPD projects across mechanical, electro-mechanical, and electronic domains.
- Lead project planning, execution, monitoring, and closure phases in alignment with internal and customer milestones.
- Coordinate with customer project teams to understand requirements and translate them into actionable internal deliverables
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including PMO, Product Engineering (Mechanical, Hardware, Software), Process Engineering, Toolroom, Test Labs, Sourcing, Quality, and Production to ensure integrated project execution.
- Plan and execute project builds — including PCB assembly, part and kit arrangement, and SMT production activities
- Ensure adherence to APQP & PPAP requirements for all NPD/NPI processes, including verification, validation,



and approvals.
- Oversee tool, part, and product qualification through trials, internal PPAP, and customer PPAP, ensuring smooth transfer to production sites.
- Track project risks, mitigation plans, and drive timely issue resolution through structured reviews.
- Maintain documentation, BOM control, and ensure project data accuracy for audits and traceability.

B. E / B. Tech in Mechanical / Mechatronics

M. E / M. Tech in Mechanical / Mechatronics

Experience

5-8 Years

Technical Details

- Exposure to Mechanical & Electro-Mechanical systems (PCBs, Displays, Molding Tools, Process Assembly Lines, Fixtures, etc.)
- APQP & PPAP process knowledge
- BOM management & change control
- Understanding of cross-functional coordination (Engineering, Sourcing, Quality, Production, etc.)
