Global Business Services
Global Business Services delivers Technology and Operations capabilities to Lines of Business and Staff Support Functions of Bank of America through a centrally managed, globally integrated delivery model and globally resilient operations. Global Business Services is recognized for flawless execution, sound risk management, operational resiliency, operational excellence,
and innovation. In India, we are present in five locations and operate as BA Continuum India Private Limited (BACI), a non-banking subsidiary of Bank of America Corporation and the operating company for India operations of Global Business Services.
Process Overview
The Global Information Security (GIS) is responsible for protecting Bank information systems, confidential and proprietary data, and customer information. The Cyber Security technology function is responsible for the development and maintenance of security products across Bank of America. The team works on various security products and also develops in-house products.
The individual will be part of the Cyber Security technology team that is responsible for the ongoing development of applications that provide Bank of America users with developing products that help reduce risk around Information Security Threats. We are heavily invested in process automation and want to leverage the candidate's expertise to shift left in testing to drive higher quality and enable more frequent releases.
Role Description
This role is responsible for developing and delivering complex requirements to accomplish business goals. Key responsibilities of the role include ensuring that software is developed to meet functional, non-functional, and compliance requirements. These individuals possess strong proficiency in development and testing practices common to the industry and have extensive experience using design and architectural patterns.
Primary Level of Engagement: Works as a team member under supervision from a more senior domain expert.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical support for vendor applications, including installation, configuration, upgrades, and troubleshooting.
- Monitor application performance and availability, ensuring SLAs are met.
- Support and maintain databases (e.g., Oracle) associated with vendor applications.
- Perform routine database maintenance tasks such as backups, indexing, and performance tuning.
- Ensure compliance with data security and privacy standards.
- Document support procedures, configurations, and known issues.
- Participate in disaster recovery planning and testing.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, security, and application teams to ensure seamless integration and support.
Requirements
Education: B.E. / B. Tech/M.E. /M. Tech/B.Sc./M.Sc./BCA/MCA (prefer IT/CS specialization)
Certifications If Any: NA
Experience Range: 7+ years
Foundational skills
- Experience supporting enterprise applications and databases.
- Strong knowledge of relational databases and SQL.
- Familiarity with database administration tools and techniques.
- Experience in Ping IDM/Forgerock.
- Good knowledge of the Identity and Access Management domain.
- Experience with vendor application deployment, configuration, and lifecycle management.
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Splunk, AppDynamics, Prometheus).
- Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
Desired skills
- Experience with cloud-hosted applications and databases (AWS RDS, Azure SQL, etc.).
- Knowledge of ITIL or other IT service management frameworks.
- Familiarity with container platforms (e.g., OpenShift, Kubernetes).
- Scripting experience (e.g., PowerShell, Python, Bash) for automation.
- Understanding of data integration and ETL processes.
