Junior Accountant (Construction)

Position Overview

We are looking for a sharp, resourceful Junior Accountant to join our team. In the construction industry, every project has a lot of moving parts—from tracking raw material costs to managing subcontractor payouts. We don’t care as much about a long list of certifications or specific degrees; what we value is a quick learner who applies ingenuity to solve puzzles, organize data, and keep our project financials tracking perfectly.

Key Responsibilities1. Project Costing & Tracking

- Track and allocate expenses (labor, materials, equipment, and subcontracts) to specific construction projects.
- Monitor project budgets against actual spending to help project managers spot cost overruns early.
- Assist in processing subcontractor invoices, verifying lien waivers, and matching progress billings against work completed.

2. Daily Accounting Operations

- Record daily financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and expense reports, into Tally.
- Perform regular bank and vendor account reconciliations to ensure data accuracy.
- Help maintain an organized digital filing system for invoices, purchase orders, and receipts.

3. Data Analysis & Reporting

- Use Microsoft Excel to organize financial data, build simple cost trackers,



and generate clear summaries for management.
- Investigate financial discrepancies or missing paperwork with a resourceful, curious mindset.

What We Are Looking For

- The Right Mindset: A fast learner with high ingenuity. You don't just wait for instructions; you actively look for ways to streamline spreadsheets, fix errors, and figure out how things work.
- Core Knowledge: A solid, practical understanding of accounting fundamentals and project costing principles.
- Software Skills:
- Hands-on proficiency with Tally for day-to-day bookkeeping.
- Strong comfort level with Microsoft Excel (ability to comfortably sort, filter, use formulas, and organize messy data).
- Qualifications & Certifications: We are highly flexible here. A degree in commerce, accounting, or finance is a plus, but practical skill, adaptability, and a strong work ethic matter much more to us than formal credentials.
- Industry Soft Skills: Excellent communication skills. You will be interacting with project managers, vendors, and site supervisors, so you need to be clear, confident, and patient.

Pay: ₹13,393.00 - ₹16,071.00 per month
