General Manager - Quality Control - Dahej

About the Role:

The GM quality control will oversee and manage the quality control processes at the Dahej facility. Ensuring that production operations from raw materials to finished products meet the quality, integrity, and efficiency standards. Spearhead the development, implementation, and maintenance of the quality management system, and lead a team responsible for carrying out quality control methods and systems. The individual will also oversee investigations of all non-conformances and ensure that the company maintains a state of readiness for inspection by regulatory agencies.

Key job Responsibilities

- Take ownership & responsibility for ultimate quality compliance of all finished goods produced at the Dahej facility as per customer specs.
- Ensure that all QC activities are done as per SOPs and review all related documents and records.
- Oversee that all incoming samples are analyzed timely as per their priority by coordinating with production head on day-to-day basis.
- Review specifications and analytical data sheet for raw and packing material, finished product and in process samples.
- Train all the team members in good laboratory practices and on-the-job training and to maintain records.
- Calibrate and maintain QC instruments, stability samples are analyzed and evaluated on due date, all batches retain samples are kept online.
- Monitor the batch documentation and subsequent batch release and provide support in investigation of market complaints.
- Prepare the certificate of analysis and submit to store before dispatch of material.
- Understand the customer’s needs and requirements to develop effective technical data time to time and submit to the customer.
- Develop, implement, manage, audit, and maintain GMP quality systems.




- Coordinate and perform all vendor qualification and compliance audits.
- Ensure that cGMP requirements and quality standards are recognized, understood, and maintained across the Company.
- Plan, organize and conduct quality excellence training across designations, functions, and locations to drive culture of excellence.
- Keep abreast of changes to quality regulations and guidelines, advising the management team of any business implications of these changes. Lead, manage and ensure proper training in any relevant change management programs throughout the company.
- Lead the opportunity identification across the production process life cycle to assess ‘As is’ processes and prospect to improve the same, in terms of sustainable quality.
- Maintain high standards of integrity, safety and operational excellence among self, team members and all stake holders involved in the quality process life cycle.

Candidate Profile

- Proven experience and knowledge of leading and managing Pharma Quality Excellence in mid to large organizations.
- Strong planning, organizing & execution skills, including the ability to manage multiple action tracks across the quality life cycle.
- Quality training skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Ability to prioritize and delegate tasks effectively.
- Understanding of the industry and company goals and objectives.

Qualification – MSc / M. Pharm / Ph. D from a reputed institute. MBA is an added advantage.

Job Specification:

1. 15 – 20 years of Pharma Quality experience of which at least 5-6 years in leading multi facility company in a leadership capacity.

2. Experience & expertise in deployment of globally recognized quality tools, resources, and practices, e.g., ISO, GMP, SchM., etc.

3. Proven knowledge, experience & expertise for EDQM, EU, USFDA Audits.

4. Certification in globally recognized Quality Training.
