Job Description - Line Incharge

Location - Ekaansh Factory (Sholingiri / Malur)

Shift - 8 hours (rotational)

ROLE SUMMARY

Own the running of a single production line for the shift — delivering the planned output at first-pass quality while keeping manpower, material, and machines flowing without interruption. The Line Incharge is the accountable point for line performance during the shift and the first line of escalation for any stoppage.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Run the line to daily and shift production targets; track output against plan and escalate shortfalls in real time.
- Deploy and supervise line operators — manage attendance, break rotation, and workload balancing across the shift.
- Ensure first-pass quality at the line (dimensions, edge-banding, finish); catch and correct defects before they move downstream to snag.
- Confirm availability of raw material, hardware, and panels at line-start; coordinate with Stores to prevent stoppages.
- Monitor machine running and basic upkeep; raise breakdowns to Maintenance promptly and minimise downtime.
- Enforce safety, housekeeping (5S),



and SOP adherence on the line at all times.
- Record production, rejection, and downtime data into the ERP / shift report, and hand over cleanly to the next shift.

REQUIREMENTS

- Qualification: ITI / Diploma in Mechanical, Production, or Woodworking (or equivalent).
- Experience: 2–4 years on a manufacturing shop floor — ideally modular furniture, panel, or woodworking production.
- Technical: working knowledge of production machinery, basic quality checks, and shift/ERP reporting.
- Behavioural: team handling, comfort working to targets, ownership mindset, and willingness to work rotational 8-hour shifts.

- Shift output vs plan (%)
- First-pass quality / rejection rate at the line
- Line downtime (planned vs unplanned)
- Manpower attendance and utilisation
- Timeliness and accuracy of shift reporting

Pay: ₹300,000.00 - ₹500,000.00 per year
