Job Summary:

The Transport Accountant is responsible for handling the accounting and financial activities related to transport operations, including vehicle expenses, trip accounts, fuel records, vendor payments, driver settlements, and MIS reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

- Maintain daily transport-related accounting records.
- Verify and process trip sheets, fuel bills, toll expenses, and vehicle maintenance expenses.
- Prepare driver advances, settlements, and reimbursement statements.
- Monitor vehicle-wise income and expense reports.
- Handle transporter/vendor payment processing and reconciliation.
- Maintain records of FASTag, diesel usage, permits, insurance, and RTO expenses.
- Prepare monthly MIS reports related to transport operations.
- Assist in budgeting and cost control for fleet operations.
- Reconcile bank statements, cash transactions, and ledger accounts.
- Coordinate with transport, operations, and finance departments.
- Ensure compliance with GST, TDS, and other statutory requirements.




- Maintain proper filing and documentation of invoices and transport records.

Required Skills:

- Knowledge in Tally ERP / accounting software.
- Good understanding of transport operations and vehicle expense management.
- Strong Excel knowledge (VLOOKUP, Pivot Table, MIS Reports).
- Attention to detail and accuracy in accounting.
- Good communication and coordination skills.

Qualification:

- B.Com / M.Com / MBA Finance or related qualification.
- Experience in transport, logistics, or automobile industry preferred.

Experience:

- 2 to 5 years of experience in transport accounting or logistics accounts.
