Role Summary

The Design Coordinator is responsible for coordinating all design disciplines, ensuring timely delivery of drawings, resolving design conflicts, and supporting execution teams by aligning design intent with site requirements. The role ensures compliance with project timelines, quality standards, statutory requirements, and cost considerations.

Design Coordination

· Coordinate with architectural, structural, MEP, and other consultants

· Ensure timely submission and review of drawings

· Identify and resolve design clashes and discrepancies

· Ensure issuance of GFC drawings as per schedule

Drawing Review & Quality Control

· Review drawings for constructability and execution feasibility

· Suggest value engineering options for cost optimization

· Ensure compliance with local regulations and project standards

Stakeholder Coordination

· Act as a link between consultants, site team, PMC, and management

· Conduct coordination meetings and track action items

· Prepare and circulate MOMs

Planning & Scheduling Support





· Align design deliverables with project timelines

· Support planning team in integrating design milestones

· Track delays and escalate issues

Execution Support

· Provide design clarifications to the site team

· Assist in resolving in office technical issues

· Support preparation of as-built drawings

Documentation & Compliance

· Maintain records of drawings, revisions, and approvals

· Ensure proper document control

· Support statutory approvals

Tendering Support

· Assist in BOQs and tender drawings

· Coordinate with procurement

· Support vendor evaluation

Software & Tools

AutoCAD (mandatory), Revit/BIM (preferred), MS Office, MS Project/Primavera

Qualification

B.E./B. Tech in Civil Engineering / Architecture

Experience

4–8 years relevant experience in residential/commercial projects
