Summary:

Role Purpose

Seeking a highly skilled Power BI and ServiceNow Reporting SME responsible for designing, developing, automating, and governing enterprise operational dashboards and analytics solutions. This role is not limited to dashboard creation. The expectation is to deliver value-driven reporting solutions that provide measurable operational outcomes, governance visibility, automation benefits, trend analysis, and actionable insights for both client and internal infrastructure teams.

The candidate must possess solid technical capability across data extraction, transformation, visualization, automation, reporting governance, and stakeholder engagement. This role requires someone who can independently understand business pain points, convert operational requirements into analytical solutions, and deliver dashboards that improve operational efficiency, governance, compliance, and decision-making.

Core Responsibilities

Power BI Dashboard Development

Design, build, enhance, and maintain enterprise Power BI dashboards

Develop highly interactive, scalable, and performance-optimized dashboards

Translate operational requirements into meaningful visual analytics

Build dashboards focused on operational outcomes, governance visibility, trend analysis, SLA monitoring, and service improvements

Handle complex logic, formulas, measures, calculated columns, and DAX expressions

Ensure dashboards are visually meaningful, accurate, actionable, and business-relevant

Eliminate low-value or redundant reporting through data-driven design

ServiceNow Reporting & Analytics

Develop and manage reporting solutions within ServiceNow

Extract, analyze, and validate ServiceNow operational data

Build and maintain ServiceNow dashboards, scheduled reports, and analytics views

Support reporting across Incident, Problem, Change, Service Request, CMDB, Compliance, and Operational governance areas

Handle advanced filtering, complex conditions, and reporting logic within ServiceNow

Ensure reporting accuracy, consistency, and governance compliance





Data Engineering & Reporting Integration

Work across reporting data flow including:

- ServiceNow
- Snowflake
- SQL
- Power BI
- Power Automate
- Excel

Perform data extraction, transformation, validation, and optimization

Support Snowflake-based reporting integrations and analytics pipelines

Ensure reporting performance, refresh stability, and data integrity

Preferred understanding of:

ETL concepts

Data modeling

Relational data structures

Data optimization techniques

Advanced level of Excel knowledge

Automation & Process Optimization

Develop automation solutions using Power Automate

Automate report generation, scheduling, approvals, notifications, and operational workflows

Identify manual operational activities suitable for automation

Drive reporting standardization and reusable dashboard frameworks

Research and implement new automation opportunities continuously

Support AI-driven reporting enhancements and intelligent analytics

Governance, Quality & Reporting Standards

Validate dashboards before deployment

Ensure proper stakeholder walkthrough, testing, and sign-off

Monitor dashboard refreshes, failures, and data inconsistencies proactively

Maintain documentation for:

- Dashboards
- Data sources
- Queries
- Automation flows
- Access governance
- Reporting logic

Ensure all reporting solutions follow governance and quality standards

Maintain strong reporting hygiene and operational ownership

Stakeholder Collaboration & Analytical Consulting

Work directly with stakeholders to understand reporting requirements deeply

Conduct operational analysis and convert business problems into reporting solutions

Provide analytical insights, trend analysis, and governance recommendations

Collaborate with operations teams, tower leads, governance teams, and leadership

Handle ad hoc reporting and executive dashboard requests independently

Technical Skills – Mandatory

Strong hands-on experience in Power BI

Strong Power Query, and dashboard design skills

Strong working experience with ServiceNow reporting and analytics

Experience in dashboard optimization and data visualization best practices

Experience handling complex operational datasets

Experience with Power Automate

Preferred Skills

Snowflake reporting integration knowledge

Power BI Certification (PL-300 preferred)

ServiceNow reporting or platform analytics certifications

ITIL knowledge

Experience in Infrastructure / ITSM reporting environments

Understanding of AI-enabled analytics and automation models

AI & Future Operating Model Readiness

The role requires adaptability toward AI-driven reporting and analytics operations.

Candidate should demonstrate:

Ability to work in AI-assisted operational environments

Interest in Agentic AI-driven analytics models
