Overview Medallia is the pioneer and market leader in Experience Management Our awardwinning SaaS platform Medallia Experience Cloud leads the market in the management of experiences insights and actions for candidates customers employees patients and residents alike We believe that every experience is a memory that can last a lifetime Experiences shape the way people feel about a company And they greatly influence how likely people are to advocate contribute and stay At Medallia we are committed to creating a world where organizations are loved by their customers and their employees We empower exceptional people to create extraordinary experiences together Bring your whole self The Role and Team As part of Medallias Cloud Engineering Team Core Infrastructure thrives on collaboration mutual support openness to new ideas and solving problems at a deep systemic level This team is responsible for building and maintaining large distributed components that run Medallias cloud Our code serves millions of requests per second and does so with subsecond latency and fault tolerance We handle everything from scale compute data storage to synchronization and coordination of large server clusters to providing a runtime setting for all Medallias applications We are looking for candidates who share a passion for tackling complexity and building platforms that can scale through multiple orders of magnitude This role is based remotely in Pune Candidates for this position are required to reside within the Pune metropolitan area Relocation support is not available at this time Responsibilities Troubleshoot complex problems that may span the full service stack Deploy and update applications within our systems foundation compute storage network etc Operate our large scale Kubernetes Clusters in both clouds and Colocation data centers Proactively monitor and manage the availability of infrastructure and applications Be a part of the Cloud Infrastructure team oncall rotation for escalations Design code and operate core backend software components to manage Infrastructure Build automation to enable the cloud to be automatically maintainable Code primarily using Golang Python Interface with application development teams to incorporate requirements Work closely with other engineering teams to eliminate technical debt Join the Cloud Infrastructure oncall rotation collaborating with global teams to ensure 24 7 system availability and rapid incident resolution Qualifications 5 years experience operating a SaaS platform as DevOps engineerSoftware Engineering Fundamentals Foundation in software engineering principles Software development experience in Python and or GoExperience managing Kubernetes clustersStrong networking fundamentalsExperience with tooling to manage GitOps deployments ArgoCD Understanding of the Linux operating system and Shell scriptingExperience with ContainerizationPreferred Qualifications Experience designing distributed systemsExperience working with observability stackExperience with Public Clouds AWS OCI and Infrastructure as a code Terraform Excellent verbal and written communication skillsProven ability to work collaboratively across and within teams
