Role Overview Rockwell Automation is a global technology leader focused on helping the worlds manufacturers be more productive sustainable and agile With more than 28 000 employees who make the world better every day we know we have something special Behind our customers amazing companies that help feed the world provide lifesaving medicine on a global scale and focus on clean water and green mobility our people are energized problem solvers that take pride in how the work we do changes the world for the better We welcome all makers forward thinkers and problem solvers who are looking for a place to do their best work Position Summary As the Engineering Manager IT at Rockwell Automation you will lead software engineering capability teams within GEBS You will have endtoend accountability for people leadership delivery outcomes and engineering excellence Your role will involve building highperforming teams embedding strong engineering and delivery practices and ensuring predictable highquality technology solutions that support business priorities You are expected to balance technical depth people leadership stakeholder partnership and disciplined execution as an enterprise IT team manager Key Responsibilities Lead coach and develop software engineering teams fostering a culture of ownership accountability continuous improvement and learning Own people leadership responsibilities including performance management talent development succession planning and engagement Partner with business and IT stakeholders to align priorities clarify scope manage expectations and ensure delivery commitments are achievable and met Provide technical leadership oversight by guiding solution design reviewing approaches and ensuring adherence to engineering standards Establish delivery discipline through effective planning estimation prioritization and execution across the software development lifecycle Own delivery outcomes for the team ensuring commitments are met on time within scope and at expected quality levels Identify delivery risks dependencies and constraints and drive timely mitigation through collaboration and informed decisionmaking Ensure transparent communication of delivery status milestones risks and impacts to partners and leadership Improve team productivity and effectiveness through reviews retrospectives and process optimization Build a collaborative and inclusive team environment while constructively managing conflicts and challenges Deliver solutions that enable teams to clearly understand business context product domain architectural direction and their value Qualifications Required 10 years of experience growing from handson technical roles into lead roles in the Information Technology space Experience across Data Platforms Cloud ERP QA and Application Development Experience in leading and managing the delivery of system software development teams in a structured workplace Solid problemsolving skills attention to detail and critical thinking abilities Develop implement and assess performance metrics Strong facilitation and coaching skills Additional Company Details Rockwell Automation is dedicated to building a diverse inclusive and authentic workplace The hybrid policy requires employees to work at a Rockwell location at least Mondays Tuesdays and Thursdays unless there is a business obligation out of the office If you are excited about the role but do not align perfectly with every qualification Rockwell Automation encourages you to apply as you may be the right fit for this or other roles
