Key Responsibilities Administer manage and maintain VMware vSphere environments including ESXi hosts vCenter Server vSphere clusters and associated virtualization infrastructure components Plan execute and manage virtual machine lifecycle activities including VM provisioning configuration cloning migration snapshot management and decommissioning Configure and manage VMware High Availability Distributed Resource Scheduler vMotion Storage vMotion and Fault Tolerance features for ensuring virtual environment reliability and performance Monitor VMware workplace health resource utilization and performance metrics using vCenter monitoring tools and thirdparty platforms and proactively resolve performance bottlenecks and capacity issues Manage VMware storage configurations including VMFS datastores NFS mounts vSAN clusters and storage policies for virtual machine storage management Administer VMware networking components including virtual switches distributed switches port groups VLANs and network I O control configurations Plan and execute VMware platform upgrades patches and ESXi host maintenance activities with minimal disruption to production workloads Implement and manage VMware backup and disaster recovery solutions including VMware Site Recovery Manager and integration with backup platforms such as Veeam or Commvault Collaborate with server storage network and cloud teams to support hybrid infrastructure initiatives and VMware cloud integration projects Maintain accurate VMware environment documentation including infrastructure diagrams VM inventories configuration baselines and operational runbooks
