Job Title: Assistant Manager – Product Design & Development

Job Purpose: To lead the design, development, validation, and continuous improvement of oil seal products for FNI applications.

Role: The role is responsible for translating customer requirements into robust product designs, ensuring compliance with quality, performance, cost, and manufacturing requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

- Understand customer requirements, specifications, and application conditions (SOR/Spec dwg/EIS)
- Participate in technical discussions with auto OEMs and customers regarding product design and validation.
- Support customer visits, technical presentations, product reviews and customer documentation.
- Design and develop oil seals for customer applications in alignment with global partners
- Develop validation plans and define product testing requirements to meet customer requirements along with testing team.
- Analyze laboratory and field test results.
- Work closely with APQP, process engineering, production, tooling,



and quality teams during current product development.
- Conduct DFMEA, Design Reviews, Risk Assessments, and Root Cause Analysis.
- Ensure compliance with IATF 16949, and customer-specific requirements.
- Knowledge on Auto-Cad and NX (Unigraphics) and SAP activities like material master, BOM and routing creation.

Job Skills & Competencies:

- Product and application Engineering (Automotive)
- Experience with DFMEA, Design Validation processes, customer audits
- Design Software (Unigraphics, AUTO CAD)
- General Understanding of tooling, moulding processes, and manufacturing techniques.
- Leadership and team collaboration
- Effective communication and presentation skills
- Customer Documentation and audits.

Education:

- BE/BTech (Mechanical)

Experience:

8 to 10 yrs. Tier 1 and Tier 2 (Automotive firm) / Automobile Manufacturing
