Job Summary:
The Finance Asst Manager is responsible for managing and ensuring compliance with all statutory and financial regulations, including GST, TDS, customs, and general accounting. The role also supports EGS / ESG and safety governance requirements relevant to the finance function, ensuring adherence to ethical practices, internal controls, and statutory safety obligations.
Key Responsibilities:
GST (Goods and Services Tax) Compliance
End-to-end handling of GST activities including.
o Monthly/quarterly GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-9, etc.)
o Reconciliation of GSTR-2B with purchase books.
o Input Tax Credit (ITC) tracking and compliance.
Coordination with internal departments for GST documentation.
Handling GST notices, audits, and liaison with consultants/tax authorities.
Ensuring timely payment of GST liabilities and accurate reporting.
TDS G Direct Taxation
Deduction, accounting, and timely deposit of TDS as per Income Tax Act.
Preparation and filing of TDS returns (24Q, 26Q, 27Q, etc.).
Generation and issuance of Form 16 / 16A.
Reconciliation of TDS with Form 26Q / 26AS.
Handling notices and assessments related to TDS.
Accounting G Bookkeeping
Maintenance of accurate books of accounts in compliance with statutory requirements.
Posting and reconciliation of:
o General Ledger
o Bank accounts
o Vendor and customer accounts
Month-end and year-end closing activities.
Support in preparation of financial statements.
Coordination with auditors for statutory, internal, and tax audits.
Customs G Export Import Compliance
Handling customs-related documentation and accounting:
Bill of Entry, Shipping Bills, Duty payments.
Reconciliation of customs duty, IGST on imports.
Coordination with CHA, logistics teams, and customs authorities.
Compliance with DGFT, export/import regulations, and documentation requirements
Supporting export incentives and duty drawback accounting.
EGS / ESG G Safety Responsibilities Governance G Compliance
Ensuring ethical financial practices, anti-fraud measures, and internal controls.
Adherence to statutory compliance timelines and audit governance.
Maintaining proper documentation for regulatory inspections.
Environmental G Social (Finance Perspective)
Tracking and reporting statutory payments related to environmental compliance.
Supporting ESG-related financial disclosures and audits.
Responsible handling and archiving of financial records (paperless initiatives).
Safety G EHS Coordination
Compliance with statutory safety-related payments.
Ensuring proper documentation for employee insurance, PF, ESI, and labour compliances.
Supporting safety audits from a financial and documentation standpoint.
Maintaining secure handling of cash, sensitive documents, and financial record.
Qualifications Education
B. Com / M. Com
Certification or working knowledge in GST is preferred.
Experience
10-15 years of experience in Manufacturing industry.
Technical G Functional Skills
Solid knowledge of GST, TDS, and Indian tax laws.
Hands-on experience with accounting software / ERP systems.
Good understanding of customs and import export procedures.
High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Strong coordination and communication skills.
Ethical mindset and compliance-oriented approach.
