Job Description We are seeking an experienced Network Engineer to support, maintain, and enhance a large-scale enterprise network environment. This individual will be responsible for the implementation, administration, monitoring, and troubleshooting of LAN, WAN, wireless, SD-WAN, and data center networking technologies. The ideal candidate will have strong Cisco networking expertise and experience supporting multi-site enterprise environments while ensuring network performance, reliability, and security. Our client is looking for a Network Engineer in Chennai, India - 5x a week. This environment will be a 24x7 environment with rotating on call shifts once this consultant is ramped up. Skills and Requirements 5+ years of experience supporting and administering enterprise network environments. Hands-on experience with Cisco networking technologies, including: Cisco Routers Cisco Traditional & Meraki Switches Cisco Nexus 7000/9000 Series Switches Strong troubleshooting and operational experience with SD-WAN solutions (VeloCloud and/or Versa). Experience troubleshooting and supporting Cisco ISE and Cisco DNA Center (DNAC). Working knowledge of Cisco ACI for network operations and troubleshooting. Experience managing and supporting multi-site enterprise WAN environments. Experience with Cisco Wireless Controllers (2500, 4500, 5500, and/or 9000 series) and Cisco Meraki Access Points. Robust network monitoring, performance optimization, and incident troubleshooting skills. Experience implementing network security controls, patches, upgrades, and best practices. Ability to document network configurations, technical processes, and incident resolutions. Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve complex network issues. Familiarity with network change management, deployments, upgrades, and maintenance activities. Experience evaluating and recommending network infrastructure improvements and security enhancements. Experience creating technical support documentation and network diagrams/cabling layouts. Exposure to large-scale enterprise network planning, expansion, and architecture initiatives.
