Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Windows Server Administrator with 1–3 years of hands-on

experience in Windows Server Administration, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, and IT

Infrastructure. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing Windows Server

environments, user administration, server security, system monitoring, backup

management, and providing technical support to ensure high availability and

performance of the organization's IT infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

Windows Server Administration

• Install, configure, administer, and maintain Windows Server 2016/2019/2022

environments.

• Monitor server health, availability, and performance.

• Perform server patching, updates, and preventive maintenance.

• Manage server roles and features including File Server, Print Server, and IIS

(preferred).

• Monitor event logs and troubleshoot server-related issues.

• Perform routine server health checks and capacity planning.

Active Directory Administration

• Manage Active Directory Users and Computers (ADUC).

• Create, modify, disable, and delete user accounts.

• Manage Organizational Units (OUs), Security Groups, and Distribution Groups.

• Configure and troubleshoot Group Policies (GPO).

• Manage NTFS permissions, shared folders, and access control.

• Handle password policies, account lockouts, and user access requests.

Microsoft 365 Administration

• Administer Microsoft 365 user accounts and licenses.





• Configure Outlook profiles and troubleshoot email-related issues.

• Manage Microsoft Teams, OneDrive, and Exchange Online user administration.

• Support Microsoft Entra ID (Azure Active Directory) synchronization and identity

management.

Network Administration

• Troubleshoot networking issues related to:

o IP Addressing

o DNS

o DHCP

o TCP/IP

o LAN/WAN Connectivity

o VPN Access

• Coordinate with network engineers for advanced troubleshooting.

• Monitor network connectivity and system availability.

Security & Backup

• Implement Windows security updates and server hardening best practices.

• Monitor antivirus and endpoint protection solutions.

• Assist in firewall administration (Sophos, Fortinet, or equivalent).

• Manage Windows Backup and recovery procedures.

• Ensure compliance with IT security policies and cybersecurity standards.

• Perform periodic backup verification and restoration testing.

Virtualization & Cloud

• Assist in managing VMware or Hyper-V virtual environments.

• Support Microsoft Azure and Microsoft Entra ID administration.

• Monitor virtual machines and server resources.

IT Support

• Provide Level-2 technical support for Windows Server-related incidents.

• Troubleshoot server, application, and user access issues.

• Coordinate with vendors for hardware warranty and support.

• Support desktop and laptop troubleshooting whenever required.

Documentation

• Maintain server inventory and infrastructure documentation.

• Create Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

• Update technical documentation and knowledge base articles.

• Manage incidents and service requests using ITSM/ticketing tools.

• Experience with Active Directory Domain Services (AD DS).

• Exposure to Microsoft Azure and Microsoft Entra ID.

• Experience with VMware or Hyper-V.

• Basic PowerShell scripting knowledge.

• Familiarity with firewall technologies such as Sophos, Fortinet, or SonicWall.

• Experience with ITSM tools such as ServiceNow, ManageEngine, or Freshservice.

Educational Qualification

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer

Engineering, Electronics, BCA, B.Sc. (IT/CS), MCA, or a related field.

Preferred Certifications

• Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104)

• Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900)

• Windows Server Administration Certifications

• Microsoft 365 Fundamentals (MS-900)

• CCNA

• CompTIA Server+

• Any Microsoft, VMware, Networking, or Cybersecurity certification
