BUSINESS UNIT DESCRIPTION:

Finance Technology provides technology solutions and support to CIBCs Finance business, enabling effective governance, decision support, and operational excellence. The team delivers andmaintainsrobust, scalable, and innovative applications that support financial, regulatory, and management reporting, as well as other critical finance functions across the organization.

JOB PURPOSE:

The Applications Developer - SAP is responsible for SAP application development, including enhancements, new feature development, and optimization of internal applications. This individual contributor role is focused on development and technical implementation to support Finance initiatives.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Design development:

- Develop, enhance, and optimize SAP applications to support business requirements.
- Perform and coordinate complex application programming activities to deliver robust, scalable solutions.
- Lead the design and development of cost-effective and innovative applications that meet business needs.
- Implement recent features and functionalities within SAP ERP (FICO) or S/4 HANA, SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), and SAP BTP.
- Build and maintain data pipelines and ETL processes for enterprise platforms.
- Support application batch processing and ensure operational stability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver integrated solutions.
- Provide technical expertise in SAP reporting using BEX Queries and CDS views.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to SAP applications and integrations.

Strategic Planning:

- Develop multi-year technology roadmaps aligned with the banks vision, strategy, and business goals.
- Lead multiple complex projects involving backend systems,new technologyadoption, and enhancement of existing applications.

CROSS-FUNCTIONAL RELATIONSHIPS:

- Collaborates with business analysts, enterprise architects,



and other developers to deliver technology solutions.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather requirements and provide status updates.
- Partner with external vendors and technology partners for solution integration, as needed.

JOB DIMENSIONS:

- Individual contributor role with enterprise impact on Finance Application Development.
- Leads the technical delivery of multiple, Supports multiple business platforms and technology within Finance Technolog.
- Provide Advisory and support services provided to business units and project teams.by monitoring and taking the required actions to resolve any incidents

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

Education:Bachelors degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering,ITor related technical discipline.

Must Have Skills:

- Must Have 6-9 years of Experience in SAP ERP across multiple modules.
- Proficient with SAP ERP (FICO) or S/4 HANA.
- Proficient in SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC).
- Skilled in SAP BTP (Business Technology Platform).
- Competent in BEX Queries, CDS views for reporting.
- Versed in Application Batch Schedular(AUTOSYS or equivalent) and Support.

Nice To Have:

- Knowledge in Functional experience on SAP.
- Knowledge UI/UX Principles.
- Having SAP GRC/Security exposure is an asset.
- SAP BASIS exposure is an asset.
- Experience in SFTP file transfers (or any equivalent tool).
- GitHub Copilot or any AI enabled development tools is a plus.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

- This role operates within a normal office environment with little exposure to adverse working conditions.
