Housekeeping Supervisor

Job Summary: We are seeking a motivated and experienced Housekeeping Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of our housekeeping department. The ideal candidate will ensure high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and guest satisfaction throughout the property. This role involves leading a team, managing resources, and maintaining a safe and efficient working environment.

Key Responsibilities:

- Supervise and direct the daily activities of the housekeeping staff, including room attendants, public area attendants, and laundry staff.
- Inspect guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house areas to ensure adherence to cleanliness and maintenance standards.
- Develop and implement cleaning schedules and procedures to optimize efficiency and effectiveness.
- Train new housekeeping staff on proper cleaning techniques, safety protocols, and hotel standards.
- Manage inventory of cleaning supplies, linens, and equipment, and place orders as needed.
- Respond promptly to guest requests and concerns related to housekeeping services.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
- Conduct regular team meetings to communicate goals, provide feedback, and address any issues.




- Assist with staff scheduling, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions.
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude, fostering a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications:

- Skills: Robust leadership and supervisory skills, excellent organizational and time management abilities, attention to detail, problem-solving skills, communication and interpersonal skills, knowledge of cleaning chemicals and equipment, understanding of health and safety regulations.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Vocational training or certification in hospitality or housekeeping management is a plus.
- Attributes: Reliable, responsible, proactive, team-oriented, customer-focused, ability to work under pressure, physically fit to perform duties.
