Job Title: VMware Server Admin Experience: 7–12 Years Location: Pune, Chennai Employment Type: Full-Time Role Overview We are looking for an experienced VMware Administrator with strong expertise in VMware vSphere and VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) environments. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, administering, troubleshooting, and optimizing enterprise virtualization platforms while ensuring high availability, performance, security, and operational excellence. The role requires advanced troubleshooting skills, lifecycle management expertise, and the ability to lead major incidents and infrastructure transformation initiatives. Key Responsibilities Design, build, and administer enterprise VMware vSphere and VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) environments. Manage VMware infrastructure components including ESXi, vCenter, HA, DRS, FT, vMotion, and Storage vMotion. Administer VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF), including SDDC Manager, Management Domains, and Workload Domains. Plan and execute Lifecycle Management (LCM) activities, including upgrades for ESXi, vCenter, NSX-T, and vSAN. Manage vSAN environments, including storage policies, capacity optimization, health monitoring, and failure remediation. Support NSX-T operations, including logical networking, routing, security policies, and connectivity troubleshooting. Perform advanced troubleshooting across compute, storage, and network layers to identify and resolve complex infrastructure issues. Drive performance tuning and optimization for CPU, memory, storage latency, and network through put. Support Disaster Recovery (DR) and Business Continuity (BCP) initiatives,



including SRM, vSphere Replication, failover, and failback activities. Lead P1/P2 incidents, conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and drive problem management activities. Develop automation solutions using PowerCLI, APIs, vRealize Orchestrator (vRO), and related tools. Collaborate with Storage, Network, Backup, Security, and Cloud teams to deliver integrated infrastructure solutions. Maintain architecture documentation, SOPs, runbooks, compliance reports, and operational standards. Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership during project execution and critical incidents. Required Skills VMware vSphere Strong experience with VMware ESXi, vCenter Server, HA, DRS, FT, vMotion, and Storage vMotion.Expertise in VMware architecture design, performance optimization, and enterprise administration. VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF)Hands-on experience with SDDC Manager, Workload Domains, and VCF lifecycle manag ement.Knowledge of VCF deployment models, architecture, and modernization initiatives. vSAN & Storage Strong understanding of vSAN architecture, storage policies, RAID configurations, FTT, deduplication, compression, and capacity planning. Experience handling storage failures, rebuild operations, and performance optimization.



NSX-T Experience with NSX-T networking, routing, logical switching, security policies, and troubleshooting. Understanding of T0/T1 Gateways, Segments, and overlay networking. Troubleshooting & Operations Robust expertise in cross-domain troubleshooting involving compute, storage, and networking. Experience analyzing CPU Ready, Memory Ballooning, Storage Latency, and infrastructure bottlenecks. Strong understanding of ITIL processes, including Incident, Problem, Change, and Service Request Management. Automation experience with PowerCLI, vRO, REST APIs, and infrastructure automation. Exposure to Ansible or similar automation platforms is preferred. Preferred Skills VMware Site Recovery Manager (SRM)vSphere Replication Capacity Planning and Performance Engineering CIS Hardening and Security ComplianceOEM Vendor Management (Broadcom/VMware) Domain Experience Experience supporting large-scale enterprise environments across BFSI, Healthcare, Insurance, Manufacturing, or other business-critical industries is preferred. Soft Skills Excellent communication and stakeholder manage ment skills.Robust analytical and problem-solving c apabilities.Ability to lead major incident bridges and technical discussions.Experience mentoring L1/L2 engineers and driving knowledge-sharing initiatives. Education & Certifications B.E./B.Tech/MCA/BCA/Diploma or equivalent qualification. VMware Certified Professional (VCP) preferred. VMware Cloud Foundation certifications are an added advantage.ITIL Foundation Certification preferred.
