About the job

The 'Data Entry Operator' is responsible for accurately entering, validating, updating, and maintaining client and operational data within the company's platform. The role plays a critical part in ensuring the quality, integrity, and availability of data to support business operations. The incumbent will also assist in data migration activities, support client onboarding, and provide operational assistance by addressing data-related queries and requests.

Key responsibilities:

1. Accurately enter, update, and maintain client and operational data in the company's platform.
2. Perform data validation, verification, and cleansing to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
3. Review client-submitted data, identify discrepancies or missing information, and coordinate necessary corrections.
4. Support data migration, client onboarding, and implementation activities by preparing and uploading data in the prescribed format.
5. Conduct regular quality checks to ensure compliance with established data standards and internal processes.
6. Generate, maintain, and update records, reports, and spreadsheets as required.
Maintain confidentiality and security of all client and company information.
7. Adhere to defined standard operating procedures (SOPs), service level agreements (SLAs), and quality standards.
8. Escalate data inconsistencies, system issues, or operational challenges to the reporting manager promptly.

A. Required skills & qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in any discipline. Candidates with strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Microsoft Excel, may be considered irrespective of graduation requirements.

2. 0–3 years of experience in data entry, data processing, back office operations, MIS, customer support, or similar roles.

3. Excellent typing speed with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, and other MS Office applications.

4. Basic understanding of data management and record-keeping practices.

5. Valuable verbal and written communication skills.

B. Preferred skills:

1. Experience working with ERP, CRM, SaaS, or web-based business applications.

2. Familiarity with importing, exporting, and validating large datasets.

3. Experience supporting client onboarding or implementation activities.
