About the Role:
Reporting to the Head L&H; Experience Studies COE, the role gives an opportunity to
- Broaden your exposure in experience studies across various product lines and markets
- Consult and collaborate across multiple teams like CIDO - IT, regional experience studies and support functions to onboard and maintain experience studies on LEAP engine.
- Enhance analytic capabilities to improve our risk insights, strengthening Swiss Re’s leading position
- Leverage big data tools and technologies (Python / Pyspark and R) using big data frameworks like Stargate / Azure using best practices and tools
- Own and lead the market / products onboarding and maintenance of experience studies in LEAP.
- Source the actuarial requirements from the business functions and implement them onto LEAP platform.
- Work in a dynamic, pro-active, fast fail and learn fast environment that creates an impact to the business.
Major responsibilities:
- Foster a strong collaboration and involvement across regions and central teams to ensure alignment and contribution to a common global experience studies approach
- Deliver cutting edge analytical capabilities leveraging the latest analytical capabilities and tools and working with various external partners
- Provide training and support the experience studies E2E solution, including data ingestion; calculation engine and visualization.
- Build and maintain a strong governance framework for tools and best practices for experience analysis to achieve operational excellence, balancing local, regional and global requirements and needs
- Consult and advise the regional teams on best practices of experience studies and overall E2E experience studies related topics
- Collaborate with external partners and providers to leverage latest technologies.
About the Team:
L&H; Experience Studies CoE is a current team within the L&H; Products Center of Swiss Re. The L&H; Products Centre is a global team with employees located in at least 14 cities around the world, responsible for defining L&H; risk appetite, review of large and unusual transactions, pricing tools, methodology and governance, new business steering and contract wording. Our vision is to Engage the Swiss Re community to Steer and Enable our L&H; business with the goal to make the world more resilient.
About You:
- You are qualified or actively working towards the attainment of an actuarial qualification.
- 5+ years of experience in the L&H; actuarial domain
- Strong interest about new technologies and open to expand your knowledge in this area (knowledge of coding languages is an advantage).
- Strong programming skills in SAS/ R/Python/Pyspark and exposure to experience studies skillset are preferred
- You have excellent communication, interpersonal and influential skills.
- Ability to interact with stakeholders across all levels of the organization and worked toward a common solution.
- Ability to work independently and in a team (including cross functional teams) to contribute to the successful delivery.
- You have solid analytical skills and the ability and courage to constructively challenge pricing decisions based on emerging experience, but also have the business mind-set to be solutions oriented
