DevOps Engineer

Experience - 9+ yrs

Shift timing: 5:30 AM to 2:30 PM IST/2:30 PM to 11:30 PM IST

About The Role:
Reporting to the Senior Manager of Systems Operations, the Senior DevOps Engineer is responsible for implementing, testing and supporting applications, client portals, APIs and web services. As a member of the DevOps team, you will partner with other engineers, business analysts, UI designers, and project managers to help build and support applications for our web site, news processing, syndication, and metrics reporting systems.

Job Description:

- Design, develop, document, test and debug new and existing configuration management patterns and infrastructure as code.
- Provide oversight, standardization and validation of system and application architecture.




- Provide prompt operational and system administration support for enterprise applications in a high availability, 24x7x365 SaaS environment.
- Automate both software and infrastructure delivery (Jenkins, AWS Code Pipeline, Cloud formation, Terraform).
- Build and maintain monitoring, alerting, and trending operational tools (CloudWatch, New Relic, Splunk, ELK, Grafana).
- Support 24x7 on-call rotation.
- Research and evaluate new technologies.

Must Have

- 5+ years of DevOps experience supporting able cloud and colocation resources
- 5+ years hands on experience with AWS including CloudFormation, Lambda, ECS, EC2, VPC, etc.
- Knowledge of one or more of the configuration managements tools – Chef, Ansible, Puppet, and knowledge IAC, containerization and orchestration (Terraform, Docker & Kubernetes)
- Experience with systems administration (Linux) web servers, IP networking, DNS, SSL certificates, etc.
- Experience with back-end data stores such as MySQL, DynamoDB, Redis, or Elasticsearch
- Experience with industry frameworks and methodologies:
- ITIL/Agile/Scrum/DevOps/SRE
