To achieve this, we are launching a brand-recent digital media team to create premium, hooking, documentary-style educational content on YouTube. We are not making boring tutorials—we are building visual masterpieces that make complex financial and economic stories accessible, thrilling, and visually stunning.

We are looking for an analytical, creative, and data-driven YouTube Strategist to lead the end-to-end strategy, pre-production planning, content framing, and post-launch distribution and performance optimization for our digital media unit.

Role Overview:

As a YouTube Strategist, you will be the growth architect behind our channel. You will bridge the gap between deep financial research, high-retention content strategy, and YouTube algorithm dynamics. You will take full ownership of pre-production tasks—from market research and trend mapping to packaging and script frameworks—while providing strategic guidance during production and post-production, and managing channel analytics, SEO, and distribution post-launch.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Pre-Production & Strategy:

- Market & Topic Research: Track economic trends, policy shifts, corporate deep-dives, and financial news to identify high-potential, evergreen, and viral video topics.
- Content Framing & Packaging: Conceptualize compelling hooks, titles, and thumbnail concepts before scripts are written. Ensure concepts align with viewer psychology and high Click-Through Rates (CTR).
- Script Strategy & Planning:



Collaborate with content writers to structure scripts for maximum viewer retention (hook, narrative arc, pacing, drop-off mitigation, and call-to-actions).
- Competitor & Benchmark Analysis: Analyze competitive landscape (e.g., Vox, Johnny Harris, MagnatesMedia) to adapt best-in-class content strategies to financial infotainment.

2. Production & Post-Production Advisory:

- Production Guidance: Consult with the creative and production team during filming on pacing, narrative beats, and visual cues required for maximum viewer retention.
- Editing Advisory: Review video drafts with the Video Editing & Compositing Specialist, providing actionable feedback on pacing, visual hooks, B-roll density, and structural retention fixes.

3. Post-Production Distribution, Analytics & Optimization:

- Metadata & SEO Optimization: Write high-converting titles, descriptions, tags, chapters, and end-screen strategies optimized for YouTube search and discovery algorithms.
- Performance Tracking & Analytics: Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) including CTR, Average Percentage Viewed (APV), audience retention curves, traffic sources, and subscriber conversion rates.
- A/B Testing & Iteration: Conduct systematic A/B testing for titles and thumbnails. Translate analytics data into actionable content adjustments for future videos.
- Distribution & Cross-Platform Strategy: Plan repurposed content frameworks (Shorts, Reels, community posts) to maximize reach and drive traffic to core long-form content.

Key Skills & Technical Requirements:

1. Core Concepts & Strategy:

- YouTube Algorithm Mechanics: Deep understanding of YouTube recommendation systems, retention graphs, CTR optimization, and viewer psychology.
- Financial Literacy: Familiarity with personal finance, macroeconomic trends, business histories,



and corporate markets to ensure high-quality topic selection.
- Audience Retention Design: Ability to structure narratives and visual cues specifically designed to maintain high engagement across 10–20+ minute video essays.
- Data Analytics: Proficiency in interpreting YouTube Studio analytics, identifying drop-off points, traffic patterns, and demographic shifts.

2. Tool & Platform Proficiency:

- Analytics & Optimization Tools: YouTube Studio Analytics, TubeBuddy, VidIQ.
- A/B Testing Tools: Thumbnail/title testing frameworks (e.g., Thumbnail Test, YouTube built-in A/B testing).
- Trend Research: Google Trends, Social Blade, BuzzSumo, competitor tracking systems.
- Project & Workflow Management: Notion, Trello, or Asana for content calendar management.
- AI Literacy: Leveraging Generative AI tools (ChatGPT, Gemini, Midjourney) for rapid brainstorming, titling options, outline testing, and research aggregation.
