The CNC Programmer/Setter is responsible for writing and validating CNC programs and setting up machines fornew and repeat jobs, ensuring first-piece accuracy and minimal changeover time. This role carries the technicalknowledge that converts a drawing into a producible, repeatable process — a core institutional asset for ParFlow.3. Key Responsibilities•Write, edit, and validate CNC programs (Fanuc controllers) for turning and milling operations•Set up machines for recent jobs — tool selection, offsets, workholding•Run and approve first-piece components before handing off to operators•Optimise programs for cycle time and tool life without compromising quality•Troubleshoot programming or setup-related issues on the shop floor•Maintain a program library mapped to SKU for repeat orders•Train operators on job-specific setup requirements•Work with QC to resolve any dimensional non-conformance traced to programming or setup4. Qualifications & Experience•ITI/Diploma in Tool & Die, Production, or Mechanical Engineering•4–8 years of CNC programming and setting experience6. Skills & Competencies•Strong command of Fanuc G-code/M-code programming•Experience setting up multi-axis turning and milling operations.
•Experience machining exotic alloys (Inconel, Hastelloy, Duplex, Monel, Titanium) strongly preferred•Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and GD&T;•Problem-solving mindset — able to diagnose and correct setup issues independently.
