Job Summary
The Store Manager is responsible for the overall operations, sales performance, profitability, customer experience, staff management, inventory control, and visual merchandising of the Maybell store. The role requires strong leadership to ensure the store consistently meets company standards and achieves business targets.
- Key Responsibilities1. Sales & Business PerformanceAchieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
- Monitor daily sales and implement action plans to improve performance.
- Increase Average Bill Value (ABV), Units Per Bill (UPB), and conversion rate.
- Motivate the sales team to maximize sales opportunities.
- Ensure all promotional campaigns and offers are executed effectively.
- 2. Team ManagementRecruit, train, coach, and develop store staff.
- Prepare weekly and monthly duty rosters.
- Conduct daily briefing sessions before store opening.
- Monitor employee attendance, punctuality, grooming, and discipline.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback.
- Foster a positive and professional work environment.
- 3. Customer ServiceDeliver exceptional customer service at all times.
- Resolve customer complaints promptly and professionally.
- Ensure every customer receives personalized assistance.
- Maintain high customer satisfaction and encourage repeat business.
- 4. Store OperationsEnsure smooth day-to-day store operations.
- Open and close the store according to company SOPs.
- Maintain cleanliness, safety, and maintenance of the premises.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies and operational procedures.
- Coordinate with the head office regarding operational requirements.
- 5. Inventory ManagementMaintain accurate stock records.
- Conduct regular stock counts and audits.
- Minimize stock shortages and inventory discrepancies.
- Monitor quick-moving and slow-moving products.
- Ensure timely replenishment of merchandise.
- Prevent stock loss through effective inventory control.
- 6. Visual MerchandisingMaintain displays according to Maybell Visual Merchandising guidelines.
- Ensure mannequins, fixtures, signage, and promotional materials are properly displayed.
- Keep the store attractive, organized, and customer-friendly.
- Ensure all products are displayed neatly and fully stocked.
- 7. Cash & Financial ControlEnsure accurate billing and cash handling.
- Verify daily cash collections and settlement reports.
- Monitor expenses and control operational costs.
- Ensure proper documentation and record keeping.
- 8. AdministrationSubmit daily, weekly, and monthly reports.
- Maintain employee records and attendance.
- Coordinate maintenance requests and vendor services.
- Ensure statutory compliance and company documentation are maintained.
- 9. Loss PreventionPrevent theft, fraud, and stock pilferage.
- Ensure CCTV systems are functioning properly.
- Conduct regular security checks.
- Report any suspicious activity immediately.
- Enforce company policies regarding inventory and cash handling.
- 10. LeadershipLead by example through professionalism and integrity.
- Build a high-performing sales team.
- Encourage teamwork and accountability.
- Coach staff to improve product knowledge and selling skills.

- QualificationsBachelor's degree preferred.
- 3–5 years of retail experience.
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager.
- Experience in fashion or apparel retail is preferred.
