JOB DESCRIPTION Be an integral part of an agile team that s constantly pushing the envelope to enhance build and deliver top-notch technology products As a Senior Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Commercial and Investment Bank s Equities Tech Team you are an integral part of an agile team that works to enhance build and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure reliable and scalable way Drive significant business impact through your capabilities and contributions and apply deep technical expertise and problem-solving methodologies to tackle a diverse array of challenges that span multiple technologies and applications Job responsibilities Lead and contribute to the development of server-side applications using Java and Spring Design and develop scalable architectures ensuring performance efficiency Implement messaging frameworks with a preference for Kafka Develop and execute automated testing strategies including end-to-end testing Collaborate effectively within an agile team setting and communicate with key stakeholders Provide DevOps production support to ensure application stability and address business queries Mentor junior developers and drive design and code review sessions Add to team culture of diversity equity inclusion and respect Required qualifications capabilities and skills Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5 years applied experience Strong hands-on experience with Java and Spring server-side development Proficiency with NoSql databases such as Cassandra Expertise in designing scalable architectures and developing performance-efficient applications Experience with messaging frameworks particularly ActiveMQ Tibco Proficiency in automated testing including end-to-end processes Excellent teamwork and communication skills Ability to provide DevOps support and mentor junior team members Capability to lead design and code review sessions In-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and their IT systems Practical cloud native experience Preferred qualifications capabilities and skills Experience with AWS and cloud services Good Understanding UI development using React JS Net Familiarity with container technologies Understanding of DevOps practices including CI CD Knowledge of SRE concepts such as monitoring and log tracing ABOUT US
