Job Information Date Opened 01 07 2026Job Type Full timeIndustry AerospaceCity HyderabadState Province TelanganaCountry IndiaZip Postal Code 500005 About Us Skyroot Aerospace is a National award-winning growth-stage start-up founded by former ISRO scientists Our mission is to open space for all by providing affordable reliable and responsive space launch solutions We are a close-knit team of Space professionals building leading space launch vehicles and solutions from India for the world Job Title Quality Lead - Valves Experience 8 Years Location Hyderabad Industry Space Aerospace Cryogenic Systems Precision Machining Composite Manufacturing Fabrication Defence About the Role We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Quality Lead with proven expertise in Control Components valve assemblies hydraulic pneumatic systems cryogenic systems and precision manufacturing The ideal candidate will ensure process integrity product reliability and compliance with international aerospace and manufacturing standards through systematic quality planning inspection and process validation Key ResponsibilitiesImplement and sustain Quality Management Systems QMS in compliance with AS9100D ISO 9001 and other applicable aerospace standards Prepare and review Quality Assurance Plans QAPs for machining fabrication welding valve assembly and additive manufacturing Conduct in-process and final inspection of precision-machined components control components valves pressure vessels and assemblies o Lead part qualification and validation activities including FAI PPAP and APQP in accordance with aerospace requirements o Review and interpret engineering drawings GD T specifications and international standards such as ASTM ASME AWS ISO and DIN to ensure compliance during inspection and testing Oversee assembly and integration quality for cryogenic system flow-control systems tanks and propulsion subassemblies Validate and monitor special processes such as various types of welding GTAW GMAW EB Laser Plasma and additive manufacturing 3D printing Execute Failure Mode Effect Analysis Corrective Preventive Action and Root Cause Analysis to resolve nonconformities and improve process performance Manage supplier quality audits vendor capability assessments and ensure quality compliance for procured components and valve parts o Supervise calibration and verification of inspection tools ensuring traceability and accuracy o Utilize ERP systems for documentation nonconformance reporting and part traceability Support customer audits QMS certification audits and maintain complete documentation of inspection and quality records Collaborate with design manufacturing and testing teams to ensure first-time-right product realization and compliance during valve and subsystem assembly Key Skills Knowledge Expertise in cryogenic valves pressure vessels and flow-control assemblies Strong understanding of precision machining and aerospace-grade manufacturing Knowledge of valve functional testing pressure testing helium leak testing and assembly inspection Proficient in engineering drawing interpretation GD T and tolerance analysis Hands-on experience with CMM Micrometres gauges and basic knowledge of NDT methods UT PT RT LPT Familiar with WPS PQR WPQ and welding inspection documentation Working knowledge of ERP tools SAP Oracle equivalent and quality data analytics via MS Excel or Power BI Exposure to Lean Manufacturing 5S Kaizen and process improvement methodologies Understanding of international standards like AS9100D AWS D17 1 ASTM and ISO related to aerospace and valve systems Preferred Qualifications Bachelor s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent discipline Experience in aerospace valve manufacturing cryogenic systems and precision machining environments Why Join UsOpportunity to work on high-precision aerospace and cryogenic valve systems Exposure to advanced materials composite manufacturing and additive technologies Work in a dynamic innovation-driven environment contributing to critical aerospace missions Competitive pay skilled growth and a culture focused on quality and excellence
