Apollo Tyres Ltd is an international tyre manufacturer and the leading tyre brand in India The company has multiple manufacturing units in India and a unit each in The Netherlands and Hungary The company markets its products under its two global brands - Apollo and Vredestein and its products are available in over 100 countries through a vast network of branded exclusive and multi-product outlets Job Title Executive - Compound Development Location Chennai R D Reports to Position Anandhan M Department Function R D - COMPD DEV - CV OHT LAB Purpose of the Job Drive compound design trials in the laboratory to meet the compound design parameters Perform continuous improvements in compound development process Implement the Lab developed compound in product along with CFT Lead to solve the process related issues along with CFT Major Responsibilities Analyse and perform benchmark analysis patent landscaping literature surveys Perform laboratory trials and assess the compound properties to meet the targets inputs for low-cost alternatives to meet ANNEX targets Perform laboratory study to assess processability of compound in mixing and extrusion Ensure adherence to SOP and safety protocols in the laboratory Knowledge enhancement and setting direction for future aspirations Knowledge Technical Functional Materials and Compounding R D Research Experience Skills Desirable Analytical skills Effective team player Solid communication skills Qualifications B Tech M Tech in Rubber Technology Polymer Chemical engineering with experience and background in material research and development in tyre industries Experience Desirable 1-5 years Exposure in tyre manufacturing companies in the functions of R D compounding
