OrganizationAt CommBank we never lose sight of the role we play in other people s financial wellbeing Our focus is to help people and businesses move forward to progress To make the right financial decisions and achieve their dreams targets and aspirations Regardless of where you work within our organisation your initiative talent ideas and energy all contribute to the impact that we can make with our work Together we can achieve great things Job Title Senior Platform Engineer Location Bangalore Business Team Retail Technology Impact contribution We are looking to hire a Senior Platform Engineer to develop and deliver the vision for our Public Cloud Modernization transformation within the Core Banking Product Crew in Retail Technology This high availability modernized platform powers many critical elements of the customer experience for our products Roles Responsibilities We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cloud DevOps Engineer with a strong background in AWS Terraform and Ansible The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing implementing and maintaining our SAP infrastructure on clolud ensuring scalability reliability and security As part of the team you will play a key role in supporting and optimizing our SAP landscape on AWS cloud Design implement and maintain highly available scalable and secure infrastructure to support SAP workloads on AWS Utilize Infrastructure as Code IaC tools like Terraform and Ansible to automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration management for SAP deployments and automation Collaborate with development and operations teams to implement and manage CI CD pipelines for efficient and reliable SAP deployments on AWS Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure-related issues promptly and proactively Monitor and optimize cloud infrastructure performance and cost efficiency Work closely with SAP Basis team to ensure seamless integration between SAP and the cloud infrastructure Develop and maintain documentation for cloud infrastructure and procedures Participate in security assessments and compliance audits related to the SAP workplace on AWS Stay current with emerging cloud technologies and industry best practices to continuously improve our infrastructure Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior team members Experience with SAP environments and tools is desirable Work with the Operations team to build capabilities to support their requirements Adhere to the Code of Conduct The Code of Conduct sets the standards of behavior actions and decisions we expect from our people Essential Skills 8-12 years of experience as a DevOps Engineer with a strong focus on cloud technologies Extensive experience with AWS services EC2 S3 Cloudformation FSX VPC IAM etc In-depth knowledge of Infrastructure as Code IaC principles and tools particularly Terraform and Ansible Experience with CI CD tools such as GitHub TeamCity Octopus RedHat AAP and Artifactory Solid understanding of networking concepts and security best practices in cloud environments Work experience and knowledge of RHEL or SUSE Linux administration would be an added advantage Strong scripting skills Python Bash etc Experience with containerization technologies Docker Kubernetes Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail Effective communication and collaboration skills Good understanding and experience on ITIL Process Incident Change Problem Management Knowledge of agile methodologies and practices AWS Certified DevOps Engineer or other relevant AWS certifications is mandatory A degree in Computer Science or a related field Education Qualifications Bachelor s degree in engineering in Computer Science Information Technology If you re already part of the Commonwealth Bank Group including Bankwest x15ventures you ll need to apply through Sidekick to submit a valid application We re keen to support you with the next step in your career We re aware of some accessibility issues on this site particularly for screen reader users We want to make finding your dream job as easy as possible so if you require additional support please contact HR Direct on 1800 989 696 Advertising End Date 20 12 2025
