The Radiation Safety Officer RSO is responsible for ensuring safe handling use storage transport and disposal of radioactive materials and radiation equipment in compliance with AERB and statutory regulations to protect patients staff and the public Key Responsibilities Ensure compliance with AERB Atomic Energy Radiation Protection Rules Obtain maintain and renew AERB licenses and approvals Act as liaison with AERB BARC and support inspections Implement radiation safety programs and ALARA principles Monitor radiation levels and personnel exposure TLD OSL Supervise receipt storage dispensing and disposal of radioisotopes Manage radioactive waste and maintain inventory records Conduct radiation safety training and emergency drills Oversee radiation safety aspects of PET-CT and Nuclear Medicine equipment Investigate and report radiation incidents as per regulatory norms Maintain all statutory records SOPs and audit documentation Qualifications Certification Mandatory AERB-approved RSO Certification appropriate level for Nuclear Medicine PET-CT Educational qualification as prescribed by AERB Preferred Experience in PET-CT Nuclear Medicine facility M Sc in Nuclear Medicine Working knowledge of AERB eLORA system Experience 3-7 years relevant experience in radiation safety within hospital or diagnostic center setting Skills Competencies Strong regulatory and compliance knowledge Attention to detail and documentation skills Training and communication abilities Emergency response readiness Ability to work with multidisciplinary clinical teams Key Performance Indicators KPIs Zero regulatory non-compliance Timely license renewals and statutory filings Radiation exposure within prescribed limits Audit and inspection readiness Akash HR Manager akash medicohire com 90 637 637 34 Job Types Full-time Permanent Pay 100 000 00 - 150 000 00 per month Work Location In person
