Job Title Business Development - Mechanical Chemical Location Nariman Point Reporting HOD TL About the Organization The Galiakotwala Engineering Division is a part of the Galiakotwala Group of Companies Founded in 1923 as a small hardware trading firm the Galiakotwala Group has enjoyed a long and reputed history spanning three generations Today the group has interests in businesses as diversified as cotton trading industrial and decorative paints steel packaging containers chemical plant equipment distribution of electronics and property development Along with geographical reach across India we have offices in 23 cities The group has engaged in significant international deals and forged collaborations with partners in over 20 countries worldwide We are extremely proud to have an average employee tenure of 10 years in our organization Role Summary We are looking for a dynamic BD Technical Sales with a background in chemical engineering or industrial sales to drive business growth by identifying new opportunities nurturing client relationships and promoting our products and services This role involves significant client interaction field marketing and participation in exhibitions and industry events with a strong emphasis on technical understanding market research and business development strategy Key Responsibilities - 1 Business Development Sales Identify and generate new business opportunities through field visits industry networking and digital outreach Conduct on-site client meetings and technical presentations to understand requirements and propose tailored solutions Promote company products and services to potential clients across industrial and chemical sectors Prepare and deliver compelling sales pitches and proposals 2 Client Relationship Management Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and procurement teams Act as a liaison between clients and internal teams technical production etc to ensure smooth project execution Maintain a customer database and track the sales pipeline through CRM tools 3 Field Marketing Outreach Conduct on-field marketing activities to increase brand visibility and reach in target markets Represent the company in industry exhibitions trade shows and conferences to build brand awareness and connect with potential leads Analyze competitor offerings and develop counter-strategies 4 Market Research Reporting Stay up to date with industry trends standards and competitor products Provide regular reports on sales performance client feedback and market demands Assist in refining product offerings based on market feedback and customer needs Skills Required Proven experience in technical sales or business development preferably in the chemical process equipment or industrial sector Strong technical understanding of chemical processes industrial equipment or specialty chemicals Excellent communication negotiation and presentation skills Ability to engage with technical and non-technical stakeholders Strong market research and analytical abilities Proficiency with Microsoft Office Google Workspace familiarity with CRM tools Self-motivated with a proactive approach to achieving sales targets Willingness to travel extensively for meetings events and exhibitions Qualifications Bachelor s Degree in Mechanical Chemical Engineering Industrial Chemistry or related technical discipline MBA in Marketing Sales preferred but not mandatory 2-5 years of relevant experience in technical sales or business development Job Types Full time Permanent Pay 350 000 00 - 950 000 00 per month Benefits Health insurance Leave encashment Provident Fund Education Bachelor s Required Location Nariman Point Mumbai Maharashtra Required Willingness to travel 50 Required Work Location In person
