CORPORATE OFFICE Kolkata West Bengal India Department DESIGN ENGINNERING Job posted on Sep 24 2025 Employment type REGULAR JOB DESCRIPTIONSECTION I BASIC INFORMATION ON THE ROLE Position Name Draughtsman- Civil Function Civil Line of Business Corporate Grade F Reporting to Functionally Administratively Engineer Engineer Roles Reporting into No of employees Role Description Engineer - Design Multiple Responsible for preparing all design related drawings as required for execution of fresh and running projects SECTION II JOB SUMMARY The Civil Draughtsman in an EPC Engineering Procurement and Construction firm is responsible for creating detailed technical drawings layouts and plans for civil engineering projects These include structural architectural and infrastructure designs The draughtsman works closely with engineers architects and project managers to ensure accurate and efficient design execution SECTION III DO - KEY ACTIVITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE Perspective Responsibility Drafting Design Develop detailed 2D and 3D drawings using CAD software e g AutoCAD Civil 3D Revit Prepare civil layout drawings grading plans and earthwork calculations Design infrastructure components such as roads drainage systems and utilities Generate reinforcement detailing and bar bending schedules BBS Collaboration Coordination Work with engineers to interpret and translate design concepts into accurate drawings Coordinate with other disciplines mechanical electrical structural for integrated design solutions Review and update drawings based on feedback or changes to design specifications Documentation Maintain a repository of all project drawings and design documents Ensure that all drawings comply with relevant codes standards and regulations Prepare as-built drawings upon project completion Quality Assurance Conduct regular checks to ensure accuracy and completeness of drawings Adhere to project deadlines while maintaining quality and precision Site Support Provide technical support and clarification to construction teams based on the drawings Visit project sites to ensure alignment of work with design intent if required SECTION IV DELIVER - KEY OUTPUTS RESULTS FROM THE ROLE Key Performance Indicators KPI What are the measurable indicators for the role Measurable Deliverables 3 years of experience as a draughtsman in the Civil domain preferably within EPC projects Proficiency in drafting software AutoCAD Civil 3D Revit etc Knowledge of relevant civil engineering standards and codes e g IS BS ACI Familiarity with project workflows in EPC environments SECTION V DISPLAY - KNOWLEDGE SKILLS In this section please mention the qualification technical skills and capabilities which are essential to execute the role It may be a reflection of your own qualification and skills Qualification and technical skills required to execute the role Please mention any functional knowledge E g PhD in xyz Qualifications Diploma In Civil ITI Technical Skills Proficiency in drafting software AutoCAD Civil 3D Revit etc Knowledge of relevant civil engineering standards and codes e g IS BS ACI Experience levels required to execute this role E g 3 yrs of experience as a senior Engineer in infrastructure company Specific Experience Strong understanding of civil and structural design principles Ability to interpret technical specifications and blueprints Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills Over all Experience 3 years of overall design experience Behavioral skills competencies required for the role E g Attention to detail Behavioral Skills Solid communication and teamwork abilities Basic knowledge of BIM Building Information Modelling processes is a plus SECTION V KEY INTERACTIONS Mention names of the roles which are not in your department with whom this role interacts Key Interaction - Internal Nature or purpose of interaction Manager Engineer Team members External department Understand the business objective and requirements Guide and track the design developments Provide specifications drawings and BOQs Key Interaction - ExternalNature or purpose of interaction Customers clients Local authorities Design consultant Collaborate with site teams to incorporate as-built details into final documentation Review vendor documentation and integrate vendor-supplied details into project drawings
