Job Summary The OT Scrub Nurse is responsible for preparing and maintaining a sterile surgical environment assisting the surgical team during operations and ensuring the safety and comfort of patients undergoing procedures The role requires strict adherence to infection control protocols technical precision and teamwork within the operating theatre Key Responsibilities Pre-Operative Duties Prepare the operation theatre with necessary instruments equipment and sterile supplies Check functionality of surgical instruments and equipment before use Verify patient details surgical consent and readiness for surgery Assist in positioning the patient on the operating table Intra-Operative Duties Scrub gown and glove up using aseptic techniques Assist surgeons by passing instruments sponges sutures and other supplies Anticipate the needs of the surgical team and ensure availability of required items Maintain accurate count of sponges needles and instruments Uphold strict infection control and sterile field protocols Post-Operative Duties Assist in wound dressing and application of bandages as directed Ensure all instruments swabs and needles are accounted for post-surgery Help in the safe transfer of patients to recovery or ICU Clean disinfect and prepare OT for the next case General Duties Document surgical procedures and maintain patient records Report and escalate equipment malfunctions or shortages Participate in OT staff meetings audits and training Provide emotional support and reassurance to patients Adhere to hospital policies protocols and safety standards Job Type Permanent Pay Up to 25 000 00 per month Perks Health insurance Provident Fund Application Question s Hostel or Day scholar Education Bachelor s Preferred Experience 5years 3 years Preferred Work Location In person
