Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Health Insurance Underwriter to join our team The ideal candidate will be responsible for evaluating health insurance applications assessing risk and determining appropriate coverage terms and premiums in line with company guidelines and regulatory standards Key Responsibilities Review and analyze individual and group health insurance applications and related documents Assess medical history diagnosis treatment plans and current health status to evaluate risk Determine eligibility coverage terms and premium rates based on underwriting guidelines Collaborate with internal teams such as claims sales and customer service for case discussions Monitor and update underwriting rules in line with market trends and IRDAI guidelines Communicate underwriting decisions clearly and professionally to stakeholders Assist in developing and refining underwriting processes and documentation Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with data protection laws Provide technical input on policy wording and underwriting systems Qualifications and Skills Bachelor s degree in healthcare life sciences insurance or a related field Proven experience 2-5 years in health insurance underwriting preferably in a broker or insurance company setting Robust understanding of medical terminology insurance policies and regulatory norms Excellent analytical decision-making and risk assessment skills Proficient in Microsoft Office and underwriting software tools Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to handle multiple cases and meet deadlines with accuracy Job Type Full-time Pay 25 000 00 - 40 000 00 per month Benefits Cell phone reimbursement Health insurance Paid sick time Provident Fund Work Location In person Speak with the employer 91 (phone hidden)
