Location Sarovar Hotels - IIM Kunnamangalam Department Engineering Maintenance Reports to Maintenance Supervisor Job Summary The General Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and carrying out day-to-day maintenance activities of the hotel property The role requires hands-on technical expertise in electrical systems air conditioning plumbing and basic carpentry to ensure smooth operations safety and guest comfort at all times Key Responsibilities Supervise and execute preventive and breakdown maintenance across the hotel premises Handle electrical maintenance including wiring lighting systems panels switches and minor fault rectification Maintain and troubleshoot AC systems including split ACs ductable units and routine servicing Carry out plumbing work such as fixing leakages blockages sanitary fittings pumps and water supply lines Perform basic carpentry work including door fittings locks furniture repairs hinges and minor woodwork Inspect guest rooms public areas back-of-house and service areas regularly to identify maintenance issues Coordinate with external vendors for major repairs and AMC-related works Ensure compliance with safety standards hotel SOPs and statutory requirements Maintain maintenance logs checklists and daily work reports Respond promptly to guest complaints and emergency maintenance calls Monitor proper use of tools equipment and spare parts inventory Support energy conservation initiatives and cost-control measures Skills Requirements ITI Diploma in Electrical Mechanical or relevant technical field preferred Proven experience in hotel or facility maintenance hospitality background preferred Strong working knowledge of electrical AC plumbing and basic carpentry Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues independently Supervisory skills with the ability to guide technicians and helpers Basic knowledge of safety practices and preventive maintenance schedules Willingness to work in shifts and attend emergency calls when required Desired Qualities Responsible and proactive approach Valuable problem-solving skills Team player with a service-oriented mindset Ability to work under pressure Job Type Full-time Pay 10 000 00 - 17 000 00 per month Benefits Cell phone reimbursement Food provided Health insurance Provident Fund Work Location In person
