Job Title HVAC Operator Job Summary The HVAC Technician is responsible for installation operation monitoring and maintenance of HVAC systems including chiller plants to ensure efficient and uninterrupted cooling and ventilation services The role requires hands-on technical expertise to maintain system performance safety and energy efficiency Key Responsibilities Perform routine inspection preventive maintenance and repair of HVAC systems Operate and maintain chiller plants AHUs FCUs cooling towers and associated equipment Diagnose HVAC system faults and carry out corrective actions promptly Monitor system performance to ensure optimal efficiency and compliance with standards Maintain logs and records of maintenance activities and system performance Coordinate with supervisors and external service providers for specialized repairs Ensure adherence to safety practices and statutory regulations Assist in installation testing and commissioning of HVAC equipment when required Qualifications Diploma or Bachelor s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field Educational Qualification Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Bachelor of Engineering B E in Mechanical Engineering Professional Certifications Certification in HVAC Refrigeration and Air Conditioning preferred Safety or chiller plant operation certifications will be an added advantage Skilled Experience Minimum 3 years of experience as an HVAC Technician Hands-on experience in HVAC maintenance and chiller plant operations is mandatory Skills and Competencies Strong knowledge of HVAC systems chiller plants and refrigeration cycles Ability to troubleshoot and repair HVAC equipment effectively Familiarity with preventive maintenance practices and tools Understanding of safety standards and energy efficiency practices Good communication and coordination skills Ability to work independently and as part of a technical team
