QA QC Engineer Steel Industry Position QA QC Engineer Department NIFFT Quality Assurance Department Experience Required 4 5 years in steel metal foundry forge QA QC workplace Key Responsibilities Inspect raw materials steel alloys etc to ensure they meet required specifications chemical composition mechanical properties dimensions Oversee production quality monitor each stage melting casting rolling forging heat treatment to check for defects like cracks inclusions dimensional variances surface defects Use non destructive testing NDT methods e g ultrasonic magnetic particle dye penetrant to detect flaws Maintain adherence to industry quality standards e g IS ASTM ISO etc Coordinate with Maintenance Production to rectify quality issues and prevent recurrence Prepare test reports data logging trend analysis suggest improvements in processes Ensure calibration of measuring instruments and testing equipment Required Skills Qualifications Bachelor s degree in Metallurgy Mechanical Materials Science relevant engineering discipline Strong understanding of steel metal processing and metallurgy Hands on experience with QA QC tools NDT techniques Ability to read technical drawings use precision measuring instruments micrometers gauges CMM etc Good communication skills to liaise between production suppliers management Familiarity with quality management systems ISO etc Analytical mindset problem solving attention to detail Job Type Full-time Pay 40 000 00 - 50 000 00 per month Work Location In person
