Role Description This is a remote contract role for a WordPress Developer. The WordPress Developer will build, customize, and maintain WordPress websites, including themes and plugins, to support clients’ digital presence and branding goals.

Day-to-day tasks include developing responsive front-end layouts, configuring back-end functionality, optimizing site performance, and ensuring cross-browser compatibility. The role involves collaborating with designers and content creators, implementing SEO-friendly site structures,



and maintaining website security and updates. The developer will also troubleshoot technical issues, manage staging and production deployments, and deliver practical, easy-to-use solutions for clients.

Qualifications

- Strong Front-End Development skills, including Responsive Web Design and Web Design for modern, user-friendly interfaces.
- Proficiency in Web Development and Back-End Web Development, particularly within the WordPress ecosystem (themes, plugins, custom post types).
- Hands-on experience with WordPress setup, configuration, and customization, including page builders and custom templates.
- Solid understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP, along with familiarity with MySQL databases.
- Experience with performance optimization, basic SEO implementation, and website security best practices.
- Ability to translate design mockups into functional WordPress sites and collaborate effectively with design and content teams.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently in a remote environment.
- Prior experience working with small businesses or agencies and a portfolio of WordPress projects; relevant certification or a degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or related field is a plus.
