Key ResponsibilitiesMachine Setup & Operation

- Set up and operate Wire EDM machines according to production requirements.
- Load workpieces, fixtures, and wire electrodes for machining operations.
- Input and verify machining programs and machine parameters.
- Perform trial runs and make necessary machine adjustments to achieve specified tolerances.
- Monitor machining operations to ensure uninterrupted production.

Production Activities
- Manufacture precision components as per engineering drawings and process sheets.
- Ensure dimensional accuracy, surface finish, and profile quality.
- Meet daily production targets while minimizing machine downtime.
- Optimize machining parameters to improve productivity and reduce cycle time.

Quality Control
- Inspect finished components using measuring instruments such as Vernier Calipers, Micrometers, Height Gauges, Dial Indicators, and Profile Projectors.
- Verify dimensions against engineering drawings and quality standards.
- Identify defects and report quality issues to the supervisor.
- Maintain traceability and production records.

Machine Maintenance
- Perform routine machine cleaning and preventive maintenance.
- Monitor dielectric fluid levels, filters, wire consumption, and machine condition.
- Report machine abnormalities and coordinate with the maintenance team for repairs.
- Ensure proper housekeeping around the machine.

Safety & Compliance
- Follow company safety procedures and use appropriate PPE.
- Adhere to 5S, Kaizen, and Lean Manufacturing practices.
- Comply with ISO/IATF quality management system requirements.
- Maintain a clean,



organized, and safe work environment.

Qualifications
- ITI (Fitter, Turner, Machinist, Tool & Die Maker) or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
- Higher qualifications with relevant experience may also be considered.

Experience
- 1–5 years of experience operating Wire EDM machines in a manufacturing or tool room setting.
- Experience with machines such as Sodick, Mitsubishi, Makino, Fanuc, Excetek, or similar is preferred.

Required Skills
- Knowledge of Wire EDM machine operation and setup.
- Ability to read engineering drawings and GD&T.;
- Knowledge of measuring instruments and inspection techniques.
- Understanding of tooling, fixtures, and machining parameters.
- Basic CNC programming knowledge is an advantage.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
