Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for a Vocal / Music Teacher located at the Erode campus. The teacher will plan and deliver engaging vocal and general music lessons aligned with school curricula and learner needs across various age groups. Daily responsibilities include conducting individual and group sessions, preparing lesson plans, organizing practice schedules, assessing student progress, and providing constructive feedback.
The role also involves coordinating and rehearsing performances for school events,
competitions, and assemblies, and collaborating with other faculty to integrate music into interdisciplinary projects. The teacher is expected to maintain a positive, inclusive classroom environment, support co-curricular activities, and participate in parent meetings and professional development programs.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in Music Theory and general Music knowledge, with the ability to teach core concepts clearly and progressively.
Proficiency in Music Performance and Vocal training, with experience leading ensembles or solo performances.
Background in Music Education, including planning age-appropriate curricula and assessing learner outcomes.
Ability to play Piano or a similar accompanying instrument to support classroom teaching and performances.
Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Music, Music Education, Performing Arts, or a related field; advanced qualifications are an advantage.
Prior experience teaching music or vocals in a school or institutional setting, preferably with diverse age groups.
Strong classroom management, communication, and interpersonal skills, with an inclusive and student-centered approach.
Willingness to engage in school events, concerts, and co-curricular activities, and to participate in ongoing career development.
