Role Description This is a remote internship role for a Video Editor at The Veritas.

The Video

Editor will work closely with the editorial and production teams to edit video stories, features, and social media content that align with the organization’s mission. Day-to-day tasks include assembling raw footage, trimming clips, adding transitions, color grading, incorporating graphics, and syncing audio to create cohesive and engaging narratives. The intern will also assist in creating motion graphics for news segments, optimizing video formats for different platforms, and maintaining organized project files.

Collaboration, adherence to editorial guidelines,



and timely delivery of assignments are key aspects of this role.

Qualifications

Candidates should possess skills in Video Production and Video Editing for creating polished and compelling content.

Candidates should possess skills in Video Color Grading to ensure visual consistency and enhance storytelling.

Candidates should possess skills in Motion Graphics and Graphics to design engaging visual elements and title sequences.

Familiarity with industry-standard editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar) and basic audio editing tools.

Strong sense of visual storytelling, attention to detail, and ability to follow editorial direction.

Ability to work independently in a remote workplace, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines.

Interest in journalism, social justice, or documentary-style content; prior portfolio or sample work is highly beneficial.

Current student or recent graduate in film, media, communications, or a related field is preferred, but all applicants with relevant skills are welcome.
